Two novel Co (II)-coordination polymers as bifunctional materials for efficient photocatalytic degradation of dyes and electrocatalytic water oxidation

Two novel Co (II)- coordination polymers (CPs) based on 2,5-bis(4-carboxylpheny)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (bcpo), namely [Co/(bcpo)_0.5(tib)(H₂O)₂]_n (1) and [Co (bcpo)_0.5(bidpe)(H₂O)₂]_n (2) (tib = 1,3,5-tirs(1-imidazolyl)benzene, bidpe = 4,4′-bis (imidazolyl)diphenyl ether) have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), single crystal X-ray diffraction, photochemistry as well as electrochemistry. The investigation of the photo-degradation methyl blue and methyl violet (MB, MV) properties of CPs 1–2 demonstrates that CP 1 shows great performance for the degradation of MB, and CP 2 could efficiently degrade MB/MV. Meanwhile, the possible photo-degradation mechanism has been proposed and explored. Simultaneously, electrochemistry studies show that both CPs 1 and 2 can catalyze water oxidation under an alkaline condition at the potential around 1.20 V vs. NHE with relatively low overpotential of 330–510 mV vs. NHE.     

The Active Sites of a Rod‐Shaped Hollandite DeNOx Catalyst

The identification of catalytically active sites (CASs) in heterogeneous catalysis is of vital importance to design and develop improved catalysts, but remains a great challenge. The CASs have been identified in the low‐temperature selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides by ammonia (SCR) over a hollandite manganese oxide (HMO) catalyst with a rod‐shaped morphology and one‐dimensional tunnels. Electron microscopy and synchrotron X‐ray diffraction determine the surface and crystal structures of the one‐dimensional HMO rods closed by {100} side facets and {001} top facets. A combination of X‐ray absorption spectra, molecular probes with potassium and nitric oxide, and catalytic tests reveals that the CASs are located on the {100} side facets of the HMO rods rather than on the top facets or in the tunnels, and hence semi‐tunnel structural motifs on the {100} facets are evidenced to be the CASs of the SCR reaction. This work paves the way to further investigate the intrinsic mechanisms of SCR reactions.     

Ba3V2S4O3: A Mott Insulating Frustrated Quasi‐One‐Dimensional S=1 Magnet

Through a solid‐state reaction, a practically phase pure powder of Ba₃V₂S₄O₃ was obtained. The crystal structure was confirmed by X‐ray single‐crystal and synchrotron X‐ray powder diffraction (P6₃, a=10.1620(2), c=5.93212(1) Å). X‐ray absorption spectroscopy, in conjunction with multiplet calculations, clearly describes the vanadium in charge‐disproportionated V^IIIS₆ and V^VSO₃ coordinations. The compound is shown to be a strongly correlated Mott insulator, which contradicts previous predictions. Magnetic and specific heat measurements suggest dominant antiferromagnetic spin interactions concomitant with a weak residual ferromagnetic component, and that intrinsic geometric frustration prevents long‐range order from evolving.     

分离式热管在机房空调系统中应用研究进展

介绍了分离式热管应用于数据机房空调系统的工作原理和技术特征,分析了充液率、高度差和温差等因素对分离式热管传热性能的影响,以及分离式热管与常规空调复合使用节能性的研究现状。目前,分离式热管系统提供的冷量只是对机房内的环境进行降温,不能对机房内发热设备直接降温,降低了冷量利用效率。针对这种情况,可以把微通道热管换热器置入发热设备内部,直接对发热设备进行降温。通过这种改进空调设备、优化气流组织的节能方法与手段,达到更加节能的目的。
